Free network management tool

Wifi Password Unlock is a free-to-use utility created by the Anmol2 Apps team. Contrary to the name, it doesn’t let you hack into any wireless network within range. Instead, it offers a range of Wi-Fi testing and management tools to help you achieve the best connectivity and speeds possible. It also comes with its own access to a VPN tool to help keep your browsing experience secure.

Like most similar apps, Wifi Password Unlock comes in a small file size and a very straightforward app layout. This makes it accessible to non-technical users, same with WIFI WPS WPA TESTER.

Check all your wireless networks

The biggest concern with the Wifi Password Unlock app is that it doesn’t really have any features to unlock wifi passwords. As such, it's not capable of hacking of any sort and is definitely safe for you and other network users. It’s also not a prank app like WiFi Password Hack Prank or Hacker App - Wifi Password Hacker Prank. Despite the confusing name, it’s a good Wi-Fi testing tool.

With the confusing name out of the way, it’s actually a pretty nifty tool for testing networks around you. You can instantly run a WiFi Speed Test, showing the upload and download speeds, as well as the ping and jitter times. It also shows the wireless networks within your range. At times, it also lists down hidden networks not detected by your device’s default network detection tool.

Despite its promising performance, this testing app still has a couple of issues. The main problem is full-screen ads that are unskippable for a couple of seconds, which often appear in between services. Additionally, its VPN capabilities are very limited. Using the app, its services, and watching its ads give users points that they can redeem as usage time for its default VPN.

Good for network testing

Overall, Wifi Password Unlock is a reliable tool that covers most users’ basic network testing needs. Speed tests, network scans, and more are easily accessible in this app. Despite the minor inconvenience of its misleading name, it works pretty well for testing. For a VPN tool, however, it’s just better to turn to other free VPN services available in the app market.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
